What happens after the 7-day trial?+
We charge the card you put on file the price of the plan you picked ($30 Core or $50 with timeclock). If you cancel inside the 7 days, you're not charged a cent. Cancel any time from Settings → Billing — no penalty, no email gauntlet, your data exports as CSV.
Can I add or drop the timeclock add-on later?+
Yes. Switch plans any time from Settings → Billing. We pro-rate the change. Your timeclock data stays in place even if you downgrade — it just goes read-only until you upgrade again.
How do you handle billing?+
Authorize.net. We capture your card at signup and run the monthly charge automatically. The same payment processor your business uses to charge YOUR customers — clean, low-fee, no third-party portal redirects.
Do I need to be technical to set this up?+
No. Sign up, click "Connect Gmail" (or Outlook), paste an Authorize.net key if you want online card payments to your customers, and you're done. Most setups take under 15 minutes.
What does the AI cost?+
Nothing extra from us — bring your own Anthropic or Google API key. Gemini Flash has a generous free tier (15 requests/min) that handles the average small business comfortably.
Where does my data live?+
Your own slice of a Postgres database in AWS US-East. Encrypted at rest. Export to CSV any time from Settings → Export.
Can my employees use it from their phone?+
Yes — both DSBS and the timeclock app install as a phone/desktop app from the browser (PWA). No app store. Always up to date.
What if I have multiple business locations?+

Do you handle payroll taxes?+
We compute federal, FICA, Medicare, state, and local withholding. Filing tax returns is on you (or your accountant) — we generate the numbers, you file.
